How to Live the Made in Chelsea Lifestyle on a London Break

Made in Chelsea is the British TV series that follows the trials and tribulations of a bunch of pretty, privileged twenty-somethings as they shop and party around London’s most glamorous locations. Granted, all the fast cars, champagne and glamour is enough to make you green with envy, but follow Travel Edits’ guide to this ‘totes amaze’ corner of London and you too can live the Made in Chelsea dream for a weekend at least…

Where to Stay:

It may be the backdrop to many a tense  ‘Made in Chelsea’ scene, but in real life The Bluebird Café provides a place to chill out and relax over a lazy brunch.  If you’re grabbing a bite, don’t miss the Crayfish Salad and famous Bluebird Cheeseburger.

Austique,  330 Kings Road, London

Since opening its doors on the King’s Road in 2004, Austique has become the go-to for those looking for  glamorous and luxe labels from around the globe.

Alongside brands such as Markus Lupfer, Alice + Olivia, Goldsign and Zimmermann, they also stock labels that cannot be found anywhere else in the UK, providing a platform for young emerging designers from all over the world. Be sure to pick up some ‘statement pieces’ for all those fancy garden parties and gala events…

Where to Dine:

The Jam Tree, 541 King’s Road, London

Always popular with the Made in Chelsea cast, The Jam Tree serves up hearty gastro-pub favourites, as well as cocktails and light brunches. The dining room does shabby chic perfectly, with its mish-mash of knickknacks, lived-in sofas, and distressed artwork. When the sun shines, rub shoulders with local socialites in the pretty beer garden. The outdoor bar is well-stocked and hosts regular barbecues.

Where to Party:

Kona Kai, 515 Fulham Road, London

As darkness falls, the big question is where to clink your gin and tonic and vodka soda water and lime with the best of them. Look no further than Kona Kai and its sultry Hawaiian interior. It is a well-known favourite with the elite Chelsea and Kensington crew.

Where to Chill Out:

Bliss Spa, 60 Sloane Avenue

After all that partying, drama and shopping, there’s only one thing for it – a day of R and R. Bliss Spa on Sloane Avenue is the place to do it in style.  The spa is located on the lower level beneath the store and nail stations. Once below deck, you’re free to indulge in a wide range of treatments to help you relax and detox. The triple oxygen facial is said to be a hit with more than a few of the Made in Chelsea girls. And possibly boys too.
